Doug Caniglia and his guest Mike Venditouli birdied the 18th hole on Saturday afternoon to win the Kirkbrae Country Club Four-Day Member-Guest.

Last year, the same team won Alpine’s Founders Cup. 

Closing Out the 4 Day 

Trailing Bacon and Vincent by one shot heading into the last hole, both Caniglia and Venditouli stuck their approach shots within a few feet of the flag on 18. 

Venditouli was getting a shot on the hole, so he had an opportunity to make 3 for 2, Caniglia did not have a shot on the hole. 

Caniglia putted first and dropped his birdie putt. That got the team into at least a tie for the lead and worst case scenario would force a playoff. 

However, a playoff would not happen. 

Venditouli stepped up to his putt and nailed it, making 3 for 2 and giving them the lead at 5-under par. 

The only team on the course that could still catch them was Boulis and Riccardi. 

They had the lead for a good portion of the championship round before stalling at three-under. 

Boulis and Riccardi nearly chipped in for birdie on the par three 17, before making 4 for 3 on 18 to finish second and give Caniglia and Venditouli the win.
