Amado Wins 4th Straight Triggs Club Championship
Jay Amado has cemented himself in legendary status after winning his fourth straight Triggs Club Championship on Saturday.
“That’s what Jay Amado is. A Triggs legend and all time great after winning his fourth straight Triggs Club Championship,” writes Triggs in a post.
After shooting a first round 74 last week, Amado posted a two-under par 70, Saturday, in the second round and won by nine whopping strokes over second place finisher, Steve Blanchette, who shot 77 after his first round 76.
Amado’s two-round total was an even par 144.
Division Titles
Jared Ware won the second division title with a two round net total of 5-under 139.
Ware carded a net 74 in the second round.
The First and Gold Divisions had co-champions.
In the First, Bob Aceto won the first division due to a matching card tie breaker with Billy Volpe.
Raymond Castigliego was third with a two-round total of 146.
Tim Geary won the gold division due to matching cards.
Joe Lovett, Bud Chatfield and Jack O’Brien tied for third, one shot back at 146.
