Match Play Bracket Released for RI Women’s Amateur
A battle between sisters, Kylie and Adrianna Eaton, highlights the first round of the RI Women’s Amateur at Wanumetonomy.
Kylie is one of the top amateurs in the state and has won back-to-back Kirkbrae Club Championship titles. She advanced to the semi-finals of last year’s RI Women’s Amateur.
Adrianna is on the rise at the amateur level. This is her first appearance in the RI Women’s Amateur.
The rest of the bracket is highlighted by top-seeded Vinny Papa, who nearly set the course record during medal play, and her sister Gianna Papa who enters the tournament as the three seed.
Other players to watch for are second-seeded Addy Douglas of Newport and eighth seeded Emily Brooks, who is playing on her home course.
