Bryant Golf Coach Charlie Blanchard won the Connecticut Senior Open at Shennecossett Country Club in Groton, Connecticut on Tuesday.
Blanchard posted a two round score of 133 to win the tournament by two shots over Florida’s Kirk Hanefeld.

Blanchard posted a two round score of 133 to win the tournament by two shots over Florida’s Kirk Hanefeld.
The Warwick native fired a 65 in the first round and 68 in the second round to get to 9-under par.
Blanchard’s 2nd Round
After a first round 65, Blanchard was red hot to start the second round, birding the first two holes.
He then dropped birdies on the fifth and seventh holes to get to four under on the front nine.
On the back side, Blanchard made a bogey on 15 and that was it, he parred every other hole to win the hole.
