Max Jackson Leads World Series of Junior Golf After Round 1
La Salle phenom Max Jackson fired a three-under par 69 at Triggs Memorial to take the first round lead at the World Series of Junior Golf.
Jackson played the first five holes at even par before dropping birdies at the sixth and eighth holes to get to two under.

He would back up one with a bogey on nine to make the turn at one under.
Jackson then birdied the tenth hole and made eagle on the par-5 13th hole to get to four-under on the day.
The defending high school state champion would make one more bogey coming in to finish at three under.
Massachusetts’ Ray Dennehy IV is also three-under after the first round.
Other Rhode Islanders in Mix
Other Rhode Islanders that are in the mix include Newport’s Austin Giroux, who shot even par on Thursday.
Moses Brown’s Harry Dessel is one-over on the round, along with Barrington’s Cole Vieira, who is two-over.
Cranston’s Brady Williams is four-over, while Hendricken’s Ricky Angeli is six-over after round one.
Girls Bracket
In the girls bracket, Cranston’s Olivia Williams leads all Rhode Islanders with a score of nine-over par for the tournament.
Kirkbrae’s Kylie Eaton is 12-over, while Lily Dessel is 15-over.
Massachusetts’ Emma Abramson leads the girls bracket with a score of two-over.
