3 Rhode Islanders Make Cut at Northeast Amateur
Of the nine Rhode Islanders that were playing, just three of them made the third round cut at the Northeast Amateur on Friday at Wannamoisett Country Club.
The three players include Davis Chatfield, Chris Francoeur and Andrew O’Leary.
The cut ended up being six-over.
Of the three players that made the cut, the round of the day came from 2019 RI Amateur champion Andrew O’Leary.
O’Leary was five-under on the day with a hole-in-one on the par-3 8th hole. He hit a six-iron into the green.

It was his second career hole-in-one.
The huge round moved O’Leary from right on the cut line early in the day to well inside of it.
