In an effort to better cover the nine local players teeing it up in the Northeast Amateur, GolfNewsRI will be running a live blog to track the players you want to read about.

The Local 9
Tee 1
8 a.m. – Bobby Leopold
A rough start for Bobby Leopold, he is seven over through the first nine.
Bobby is 8 over through 15.
Leopold finished his round at 8 over.
8:45 a.m. – Davis Chatfield

Chatfield is even par through three holes. Lead is 1-under.
He remains even par through 6.
Still even through 9. He is on the left fringe on 10. Saved par after his birdie bid came up well short.
Chatfield is even through 15.
Chatfield finishes his round at one-under par, just three shots off the lead.
9:21 a.m. – Chris Roloff
Roloff is even par through six holes.
The wind is definitely a factor.
Roloff is one over through 15. Right in the mix.
He finishes at 3-over.
9:30 a.m. – Mike Hamilton

Hamilton is three over through three.
He put his ball in the water on two, the little pond just in front of the green.
Hamilton is now six over through six.
Course playing tough. Hamilton is 11 over through 12.
“There was not one easy pin placement out there,” Hamilton said after the round.
Hamilton finished at 13 over.
12 p.m. – Billy Forcier
The 2017 RI Amateur champ is one over through three holes.
He is six over through 15 holes.
Forcier drops birdie putts at 17 and 18 to finish two over on the day.
12:09 p.m. – Andrew O’Leary
O’Leary is three over through three.
O’Leary is two over through 12. After a rough start, he has birdied three of his last six holes.
He remains two over through 15 holes.
The 2019 RI Amateur Champion finishes at two-over. He was two-under par on the back nine.
1:39 p.m. – Jamie Lukowicz
After bogeying three of his first four holes, Lukowicz dropped a birdie putt on the sixth hole to get back to two over through six.
Another birdie drops for Lukowicz, this one coming on the 8th hole. He is now back to one-over on the day.
Lukowicz finishes at 1-over.
Tee 10
8:45 a.m. – Patrick Welch
Struggles continue for Patrick. Starting on the back, he is 5 over through six holes.
He moves to 7 over through nine holes.
Welch finishes the round at 10-over par.
9:30 a.m. – Chris Francoeur

The URI star is one over through 6.
Francoeur is one under through 10.
Francoeur stumbles with back-to-back double bogeys and is now three over through 12 holes.
The URI star finished the tournament at three-over par.
