Four PGA Tour stars will head over to Japan in about a month to represent Team USA in the Olympics.

The team includes Justin Thomas, Northeast Amateur alum Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau.

This comes after several star players, including Dustin Johnson said that would not be going to the Olympics.

Other than the U.S. team, other PGA Tour stars heading to Japan include U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Japanese hero Hideki Matsuyama, Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry.

The Olympic Golf tournament is set to take place from July 29 to August 1 at Kasumigaseki Country Club in Japan.

Just a few months ago, there was talk that this Olympics might be canceled as well, due to the Covid pandemic continuing to rage through the country.

After Matsuyama won the Masters, he went home to Japan and had to immediately quarantine for two weeks. That was only two months ago.

But, the Olympics will go on as scheduled, with the IOC recently announcing that up to 10K fans will be allowed at certain events.
