Viktor Hovland Withdraws from U.S. Open with Eye Injury

Rising PGA Tour star Viktor Hovland has withdrawn from the U.S. Open with an injury.

According to the USGA, Hovalnd had sand fly into his eye while he was warming up before Friday’s second round.

He requested medical help twice before pulling out of the tournament.

Hovland would have likely missed the cut anyway as he was well outside the cut line entering the second round.
