Vinny Papa Finishes 2nd at Terrapin Classic
Pinecrest’s Vincenza “Vinny” Papa finished second at the Terrapin Classic on Thursday afternoon at Hunt Valley Country Club in Maryland.
Papa began the final round with one stroke lead over Lilly Hall, however, a second-round 79 saw her lose by eight shots to Maryland’s Michelle Yeung.
Papa’s 2nd Round
Papa made four bogeys on the front nine to make the turn at four over par.
Despite that, she was leading on the turn.
On the back side, she parred 10 and 11, before dropping a shot on the 12th hole.
After saving par on 13,14 and 15, Papa made bogey on 16 and 18 to shoot 79 for the day.
Papa did not make a birdie the entire day.
Meanwhile, Yeung shot three-under on the back to get the victory.
She was one under for the tournament overall.
