Rough Back 9 Costs Adamonis Mass Open Championship
Rhode Island’s Brad Adamonis held a two shot lead mid-way through the final round of the Mass Open on Wednesday afternoon.
However, a brutal back nine saw him finish in eighth place, one spot ahead of URI star Chris Francoeur.

Rob Labritz won the Mass Open with a score of five-under.
Tough Day for Adamonis
Walking off the seventh green, Adamonis held a two shot lead at seven under par.
He was still okay after a bogey on the eighth hole and then a par on the ninth to play the front nine in even par.
The back nine, however, was a different story.
The Providence native bogeyed the 10th and 11th holes, before settling down with pars on 12,13 and 14.
Adamonis’ hopes came to an end when he made bogeys on 15,16 and 17 and closed with a par on 18 to shoot a final round 75.
