Andrade, Quigley Earn Top 20 Finishes at Senior PGA Championship
Rhode Island’s Billy Andrade and Brett Quigley earned top 20 finishes at this week’s Senior PGA Championship at Southern Hills Championship Course in Oklahoma.
Andrade finished in a tie for 14th with a four day score of 282 (2-over), while Quigley finished in a tie for 16th with a four day score of 283 (three-over).
Alex Cejka won the tournament with a score of eight under par.
He started the day one shot behind Steve Stricker, but ended ups winning in a run away.
Stricker was six-over on the day.
Andrade opened the tournament with a 71, followed by a second round 72 and a third round 71.
In the final round, Andrade fired a 68 to move up the leaderboard five spots and into 14th.
In the final round, Andrade played the first nine holes at even par before birding the 12th, 13th and 15th holes to move to three-under on the round.
He bogeyed 18 to finish two-under on the day.
Quigley opened the tournament with a first round 69 to put him on the first page of the leaderboard for the majority of Thursday’s round.
He followed that up with a second round 71 and a third round 72 to slide down the leaderboard.
In the final round, Quigley made two bogeys and a birdie to shoot one over on the day and drop six spots.
