Chatfield, Jackson Cruise into Elite 8 at U.S. Four Ball
Wannamoisett’s Davis Chatfield and partner Palmer Jackson are on to the U.S. Four Ball’s Elite 8.
Chatfield and Jackson cruised past Nathan Smith and Todd White 3&2 on Tuesday morning at Chambers Bay, and now await their afternoon opponent in the Elite 8.
The elite eight matches are scheduled to start at 4:15 eastern time.

After the two sides traded holes early on, the match was even through seven.
That’s when Jackson and Chatfield won two straight holes to go two up at the turn.
Smith and White got one back on ten, but the Notre Dame stars put the match away by winning three of the next four holes to go four up through 14.
They won each of those holes with birdies.
Smith and White won the 14th hole to cut their deficit to three, with three to play.
The two teams halved the 16th hole, giving Chatfield and Jackson the win.
