Alpine’s Adelson, Talley Finish 2nd at NEPGA Acushnet Golf Pro-Assistant Championship
Alpine Country Club’s Nate Adelson and Mason Talley finished solo second at the NEPGA Acushnet Golf Pro-Assistant Championship on Monday at The Bay Club in Massachusetts.
Adelson and Talley posted a four-under par 67 for the tournament, losing to Falmouth’s Sean Barrett and Shawn Warren by three-shots.
Warren and Barrett won the tournament with a score of seven-under par.
“Anytime you’re in a two-man event I think having two putts at birdie makes things a lot easier. We were both right there and able to make par to free up the other guy; it was a lot easier than last year with the nice weather and having a couple looks at birdie on every hole, said Warren after the round.
Four teams finished at -3 to claim a share of third place: Cohasset GC (Kienke / Potty); Boothbay Harbor CC (Penman / Andrews); Mt. Pleasant GC (Jenkins / Gentle); and The Wianno Club (Steindel / Fossa).
Kirkbrae’s Mike Bradshaw and Nick Maresca finished even par for the tournament.
