Welch Misses Cut at U.S. Open Qualifier
Patrick Welch missed the cut at the Wednesday’s U.S. Open qualifier at Wichita Country Club in Kansas.
Welch posted a 3-over par 74, and the cut was three-under par.
Even par would have gotten him into an alternate position.
Welch’s Round
Welch opened the tournament with three straight pars before making a bogey on the par-5 fourth hole.
The former Classical star dropped a birdie putt on the sixth hole, but then gave two shots back on the seventh and ninth holes to make the turn at two-over.
Welch than doubled the 11th hole before making a birdie on the 12th hole.
He would par in the rest of the way to shoot 74.
