RI’s Pannone, Baldwin Attempt to Qualify for U.S. Open
Rhode Island’s Jon Pannone and John Baldwin are seeking to qualify for the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines.
The two are playing in the local qualifier at Eastward Ho in Massachusetts Monday.
Pannone and Baldwin are well known amateur players in Rhode Island.
Baldwin won the RI Junior Amateur Championship last summer over Harry Dessel at Alpine.
Qualifying
There are five qualifying spots and two alternate spots.
Players that qualify will advance to Second Stage Qualifying.
The U.S. Open will take place from June 14 to June 20.
