Sam Burns Wins 1st PGA Tour Tournament at Valspar Championship

Sam Burns clinched his first ever PGA Tour win on Sunday afternoon, holding off New England’s Keegan Bradley at the Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Florida. 

Burns finished the tournament at 17-under par, three shots ahead of Bradley, who was 14-under par.

“Wow, just what a day. Just so many people that have helped me along the way, really I have so many people to thank that are just behind the scenes that people don’t realize and so I owe a lot of it to them. Man, what a fun day and I’m really glad that we were able to get it done,” said Burns in his post round press conference. 

With the win, Burns secured a two-year exemption, a 2022 Masters invite and a spot in the PGA Championship. 

Burns moves to 14th in the FedExCup Standings.
