Vinny, Gianna Papa Compete at LPGA Junior Championship
Pincrest’s Vincenza “Vinny” Papa and her sister Gianna Papa both competed in the LPGA Junior Championship this past weekend at Kingsmill River in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Gianna Papa finished in 11th with a two day score of 150, while Vinny Papa finished in 22nd with a two day score of 155.
North Carolina’s Kiera Bartholomew won the tournament with a score of one-under par.
Kingsmill will host an LPGA Tour tournament in the coming weeks.
Gianna’s Final Round
In Sunday’s final round Gianna opened with a bogey on the first hole, followed by bogeys on six and nine to make the turn at three over.
She then bogeyed 10 and 11, before closing with a bogey on 18 to post a six over par 77 on Sunday.

She shot 73 in the first round.
Her father tells GolfNewsRI that Gianna had 13 birdie putts within 15 feet, but could not get one to drop.
Vinny’s Final Round
After an opening par, Vinny bogeyed the second and fifth holes to go to two over on the day.
She then made back-to-back goes on eight and nine to make the turn at four over.

On the back nine, Vinny saved par on the first six holes before dropping a birdie on the 16th hole.
She closed with a bogey on 18 to shoot 75 in the second round.
