Max Jackson, Harry Dessel Tie for 4th at Northeast Junior Ryder Cup
La Salle freshman Max Jackson and Moses Brown star Harry Dessel finished in a tie for fourth at the Northeast Junior Ryder Cup on Saturday at Ledgemont Country Club.
They both posted four-over par 75 to tie with three other players, including Aidan O’Donovan who won last week’s Challenge Cup event at Alpine.
Connecticut’s North Cherry and Needham’s Mark Wilson finished in a tie for first at two over par.
Jackson’s Round
Jackson opened the tournament with a birdie on the first hole to get to one-under par.
However, he would give it back, and more, with a double on the seventh hole to make the turn at one over.
Jackson made four bogeys and a birdie on the back nine to finish at four over for the tournament.
Dessel’s Round
Dessel got off to a red hot start in the tournament.
Through six holes, the Moses Brown star was two-under after birdies on the first and fourth hole.
Dessel doubled the seventh hole, but got it right back with a birdie on the par-5 8th hole to make the turn at one-under par.
However, the back nine was not so nice.
Dessel bogeyed 12, doubled 13 and bogeyed 14 to go to three over on the day. A final bogey on 15 moved him to four over on the round.
