MA Native Peter Uihlein Wins MGM Resorts Championship
New Bedford native and former Northeast Amateur Champion Peter Uihlein won the MGM Resorts Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour on Sunday in Las Vegas.
The 2011 Northeast Amateur Champ shot all four rounds in the 60s, capped off by a final-round 69 to win at 16-under.

It is his second Korn Ferry Tour victory, but his first since 2017.
Uihlein’s Final Round
Uihlein opened the round red hot, birding three of the first four holes, and four of the first seven to immediatly take control of the tournament.
He dropped another birdie on the 12th hole before giving shots back at 13 and 17, however, it would not make much of a difference.
His closest competitor, David Lipsky and Jamie Lovemark, were four shots behind him.
