Challenge Cup Standings After Round 1
First round play has wrapped up in the Challenge Cup at Alpine Country Club.
Belmont, MA’s David D’Agostino leads the way for the boys at one-under par.
East Providence’s Michael Wetmore and Hendricken’s Harry Grimes both shot 75 in the first round to lead the Rhode Island contingent.
“Grimes shot 75, that’s a really good score for him,” said Hendricken Head Coach Rick Angeli.

For the boys, the cut was top 35 and ties.
On the girls side, Andover, MA’s Abby Zhu leads the way after posting a seven over par 79 on Monday.
Moses Brown’s Kylie Eaton is in third, while Vincenza Papa is in ninth after round one.

In the team competition, Hendricken posted 315 on day one and enters the final round ten shots back of the lead, which is held by Quebec High School.
Moses Brown is just behind the Hawks.
Round two is set for Tuesday.
