Tony Finau Details Chat with Tom Brady During Rain Relay
What do you do during an hour rain delay?
Well, Tony Finau talks to former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
During a rain delay on Saturday at The Masters, Finau was handed a phone by Augusta National member Jimmy Dunne.
It was Brady.
“He said, in the NFL, when it rains, we don’t stop. I said, ‘Maybe we’re not as tough as you guys,’ and he said, ‘No, that’s not the case. We had a good laugh about that. He was giving me some crap about the weather and why we stopped. He was obviously watching, and that was cool he was following,” said Finau after the round.
He added, “He’s obviously a fan of golf, and I’m a big sports fan. So following his career has been fun.”
Finau is a long way back going into the final round of The Masters.
Finau is three-under for the tournament, eight shots back of leader Hideki Matsuyama.
