Kajitani Wins Augusta National Women’s Amateur in Playoff
Tsubasa Kajitani has won the Augusta National Women’s Amateur in a sudden death playoff against Emilia Migliaccio.
Kajitani and Migliaccio finished the final round tied at one-over par to force a playoff.
In the first playoff hole, Kajitani made a four, while Migliaccio was only able to make a five, sealing the tournament for Kajitani.
She is 17-years-old.
Top-ranked amateur Rose Zhang had the lead for much of the day, before an eight on the par-5 13th hole dropped her back three shots.
