RI’s Colonna to Compete in Drive, Chip & Putt Finals at Augusta National
Barrington, Rhode Island’s Anthony Colonna will be competing in the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals on Easter Sunday at Augusta National.
Colonna, 11-years-old, plays out of Rhode Island Country Club, and has been playing since he was four-years old.

This was his fourth attempt at qualifying for the National Finals, after he fell just short the previous three attempts.
Now, he will try to become the second Rhode Islander to win the National Finals. Patrick Welch won it back in 2014.
The National finals are Sunday, April 4 at Augusta National.
Colonna’s Path to Augusta
Colona started his run to Augusta by competing in the local qualifier at Button Hole Golf Course back in 2019.
There was no Drive, Chip & Putt Tournament in 2020 due to the coronavirus.
After Button Hole, he moved on toe Pinehills Golf Club in Massachusetts and then finally to TPC River Highlands in September of 2019.
Colonna finished first at Button Hole, first at Pinehills (making 2 of 3 putts) and first at TPC Riverhighlands, where he also made two of three putts.
