REPORT: Jim Nantz Re-Signs With CBS
After a winter of speculation, it appears that Jim Nantz is not going anywhere.
Nantz has signed a long-term contract extension with CBS, according to a report from Sports Business Journal (SBJ).
No details of the new deal were given.

As GolfNewsRI reported, Nantz’s previous deal was set to expire later this spring.
That deal was believed to pay him approximately $6.5 million per year.
Nantz has expressed that he wants to be the first ever to call 50 Masters Tournaments. That would take him to 2035.
Speculation on Nantz
Earlier this winter, New York Post’s Andrew Marchand reported that Nantz is seeking more than $17.5 million per year, which is what his NFL partner Tony Romo is getting paid.
By comparison, Joe Buck makes approximately $10.5 million at Fox, and NBC’s Mike Tirico is near that number as well.
If and when details of Nantz’s new deal com out, it will be interesting to see what he and CBS agreed too.
Jim, your one of the best commentators i have ever heard. Soft, insightful, knowledgable, your commentary with Tony Romo and formerly with Phil Simms was captivating, roll on the next NFL season.
Kind Regards
Martin
