Course Review: Kings Crossing – March 11, 2021

Boy, was it nice to be back on a golf course for the first time since October.

This afternoon, I had the opportunity to play Kings Crossing in North Kingstown, My first round of the year.

Obviously, it is mid March and I don’t think any course is completely ready yet or in great shape.

That holds true for Kings Crossing.

Overall, it was a good day.

The greens were a little slow, as one would expect, but actually rolled really well.

The fairways had relatively recently been re-seeded, so in a few weeks to a month they should be in better shape.

The tee boxes were okay, some were rough – but again, it is March.

At the end of the day, we should be happy that we are playing golf so early in the year and trust that courses will round into shape as the warmer weather comes more consistently.

Happy golfing.
