Multiple Players Will Wear Red Sunday in Support of Tiger Woods

Sunday is expected to be a special day on the PGA Tour as multiple players will wear red and black in support of Tiger Woods.

According to Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis, 54-hole leader Collin Morikawa, Patrick Reed and Rory McIlroy will dress in Woods iconic Sunday look.

Justin Thomas tweeted that he would be wearing red on Sunday as well.

Woods was in a major one car crash on Tuesday and currently remains in the hospital recovering from severe leg injuries that could end his career.

“He’s a human being at the end of the day. And he’s already been through so much. At this stage I think everyone should just be grateful that he’s here, that he’s alive, that his kids haven’t lost their dad. That’s the most important thing. Golf is so far from the equation right now, it’s not even on the map at this point,” McIlroy said during his Wednesday press conference.

McIlroy is four shots back of Morikawa heading into the final round. He will be one of the last few pairings to go out on Sunday afternoon.

It appears that McIlroy will be playing with Reed.

Morikawa will go off at 1:50 p.m. with Billy Horschel in the final pairing.

It is unknown what other players, if any, will wear red on Sunday.

Last week’s champion, Max Homa, tweeted that he would not be wearing red because he did not pack a red shirt.
