Homa Survives Playoff to Win Genesis Invitational

Max Homa edged Tony Finau in a playoff to win the 2021 Genesis Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California.
I saw Tiger the other day. I was too scared to talk to him, but he’s forced into talking to me today so it’s going to be a pretty awesome moment,” said Homa of tournament host Tiger Woods.
It is Homa’s second win of his PGA Tour career.

Homa shot a final round 66 to get into a playoff.
He could have won the tournament outright, however, he missed a 40 inch birdie putt on 18 to force a playoff.
For Finau, it is just another runner up finish. He still only has one Tour win and that came in 2016.
It is his third straight runner up finish.
