Daniel Berger Eagles 18th Hole to Win AT&T Pebble Beach
Daniel Berger made an eagle on the 18th hole to win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday afternoon in California.
It was his fourth eagle in the last three rounds at Pebble.
Berger was tied for the lead with Maverick McNealy heading into the par five 18th hole.
Berger, who just needed a birdie to take the lead, put his second shot on the green.
He then rolled in about a 30-footer for eagle to seal the tournament.
It is Berger’s second win in eight months, and the fourth win of his career.
Spieth Fades Again
For the second straight week, Jordan Spieth took a share of the lead into the final round of a tournament, and for the second straight week he faded.
Spieth got it to 14-under par for the tournament, but that would be the last time he saw the lead before going backwards.
Heading into the back nine, he was still within striking distance of Daniel Berger, but a bogey on 13 pretty much ended his day.
However, the tide is turning for Spieth. There is no question about that.
Lashley Implodes
Nate Lashley was tied with Berger for the lead heading into the final couple of holes.
However a four-putt implosion on the 16th ended his day.
