Travelers Championship Hoping to Have Limited Fans
After 5,000 fans were allowed at the Waste Management Phoenix Open this past weekend, the Travelers Championship announced on Monday that they are hoping to have limited fans.
The tournament which will take place in June at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut, put out the following statement:
“Planning for the 2021 Travelers Championship is well underway, and we’re expecting another outstanding field of the world’s top golfers. We’re hoping to be able to welcome a limited number of spectators on-site at TPC River Highlands for this year’s event.
The safety of the players, caddies, volunteers, sponsors, media and fans remains our top priority. We’re working closely with state and local officials, as well as the PGA TOUR, to create the best environment for everyone.
You can expect to see more information about the on-site experience as details are finalized. Thank you for your patience and support as we work to deliver yet another world-class event that continues our tradition of supporting many deserving charities across our region.”
