As a team, Notre Dame finished 8th.

“We just completed a 21-day trip to Florida to practice and compete in two tournaments with zero positive tests. Everyone is healthy and I’m proud of the guys for following our strict protocol,” Notre Dame head coach John Handrigan said.

He added, “With that said, it was an extremely strong field this week which is why players come to Notre Dame, to compete against the best. It was an excellent test to see how we stack up and what we need to do to get better…and we will get better.”

Chatfield’s Final Round

Chatfield went 69-71-71 at the Timuquana Country Club, missing what would have been his fifth career top-10 finish by one stroke.

Chatfield suffered a bogey on hole No. 2 but played a clean game for the remainder, even notching birdies on eight and 14.

Andrew O’Leary has Big Day

While Chatfield gets the spotlight, it was also a big day for Rhode Island’s Andrew O’Leary, who also plays for Notre Dame.

O’Leary  posted the lowest final round for the Irish, scoring a 70, two-under par.

O’Leary caught fire on the back-nine, recording a stretch of four birdies over five holes.

As a result, the junior jumped 21 spots in the standings to 45th place with a 220 (+4).
