Wannamoisett’s Goryl Elected President of RIGA for 2021 Season

Wannamoisett’s Thomas Goryl has been elected as the 80th President of the Rhode Island Golf Association (RIGA) for the 2021 season, RIGA announced on Monday.

He takes over for Kevin McLoughlin of Montaup Country Club.

“I always told my wife that if I could ever become RIGA President it would be one of the greatest honors I’ve had. I look forward to working with the great team at the RIGA to help better the experience of golfers in Rhode Island. It is truly a great honor,” said Goryl in a statement. 

Goryl, 71, most recently served as Vice President during the 2020 season. 

He has been on the RIGA board since 1995.
