Constant Leaderboard, More Programming in Store for CBS Golf in 2021

Biggest Change
The biggest change, at least noticeable change, to the CBS Broadcast will be the leaderboards will always be there.
Like in just about every other sport, the score is always on the screen. Now, it will be for golf as well.
“You come into the room and you want to know who’s leading the tournament. Now you’re going to find out right away,” said newly minted CBS Golf Executive Producer Sellers Shy during a Zoom call on Tuesday afternoon.
Previously, golf broadcasts only showed the leaderboard on occasion or before heading to commercial.
This will only be on the CBS portion of the broadcast, not necessarily on any Golf Channel portion.
Other new things includes new theme music, a dedicated PGA Tour rules official, SmartCart and live drone coverage.
More Golf Programming
Along with broadcasting tournament on CBS national, the network will also have other golf programming on CBS Sports Network.
Starting on Monday, January 25, CBS Sports Network will air Course Record with Michael Breed at 11 p.m., followed by Faldo Formula in April.
Similar to Golf Channel, CBS Sports Network will air classic PGA Tour telecasts each week leading up to the tournament on CBS.
