Jim Nantz Elected to National Sports Media Assoc. Hall of Fame

The voice of The Masters, and CBS Sports, Jim Nantz has been elected to the National Sports Media Association’s Hall of Fame. 

Nantz called the 2020 Masters at Augusta National this past November, and has been calling the tournament since 1986, along with other weekly PGA Tour Tournaments on CBS.

He is currently finishing off the NFL Playoffs before switching over to golf and college basketball. 

Then, back to The Masters. 

Nantz Contract Situation 

As has been reported by the New York Post, Nantz’s contract with CBS expires this summer. 

According to Marchand, he is seeking  more than $17.5 million per year, which is what his NFL partner Tony Romo is currently getting paid. 

According to the New York Post, Nantz currently makes approximately $6.5 million per year on a contract that ends next summer. 

By comparison, Joe Buck makes approximately $10.5 million at Fox, and NBC’s Mike Tirico is near that number as well.
