Two American Stars to Skip U.S. Women’s Open
Two American golf stars are skipping December’s U.S. Women’s Open at the Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas.
The two that are skipping are Paula Creamer and Michelle Wie West.
The U.S. Women’s Open is set for December 10 to December 13.
Wie West
The 2014 Champion is skipping the tournament due to safety reasons with regards to traveling with her daughter, Kenna, who was born in June.
According to Golf Digest, Wie West had been sending swing videos to coach David Leadbetter in hopes that it would be safe.
Creamer
This is the last year of Creamer’s exemption after winning the 2010 U.S. Open.
She has been injured all year and has not competed on the LPGA since October of 2019.
