Augusta National Announces Change to 36-Hole Cut

Augusta National has announced that it is making changes to how it determines which players make the 36-hole cut.

This year, the cut will be just the low 50 players and ties.

“Beginning with the 2020 Masters Tournament, the low 50 players and ties will qualify for the final 36 holes. This is the first change to the cut since 2013,” writes The Masters on their social media accounts.

In previous years, the cut was low 50 and ties, as well as, those within ten strokes of the lead.

This change likely means that there will be less players who make the cut.
