Ortiz Gets 1st PGA Tour Win at Houston Open
Carlos Ortiz edged Hideki Matsuyama and Dustin Johnson to win the Houston Open by two shots on Sunday afternoon.
Ortiz shot a final round 5-under par 65 to win by two shots.
It is his first career PGA Tour win.
Ortiz also becomes the first Mexican Tour winner in 42 years.
Ortiz led by one shot heading into the 72nd hole before draining a long birdie putt to give him some cushion.
Johnson and Matsuyama both made runs and at one time were tied for the lead.
The other player who made a big run was Brooks Koepka.
Koepka shot a 30 on the front nine to get into contention, before getting stuck at nine under.
