Former Patriot Woodhead Qualifies for U.S. Four Ball
Former New England Patriots running back Danny Woodhead and partner Michael Wilhelm have qualified for the U.S. Four Ball at Chambers Bay next May.
The two qualified for the tournament in a playoff.
“I didn’t feel great about how I played. I was in Michael’s Jansport backpack the whole day. I was just riding, what did help on four holes? Made a couple of birdies and pars, which he was probably going to make anyway,” said Woodhead after the round.
Woodhead added, “he played so good. Sometimes you just have to know how to pick a partner and I picked a good one.”
Woodhead and Wilhelm are both members at Omaha Country Club and have played together for three years.
