Scheffler Tests Positive for COVID, Withdraws from U.S. Open

Rising PGA Tour star Scottie Scheffler has tested positive for the coronavirus and has withdrawn from this week’s U.S. Open at Winged Foot.

According to the USGA, Scheffler is back home in Dallas and has no symptoms.

“We are sorry to lose a member of the USGA family in this year’s field,” “We look forward to welcoming him back to the U.S. Open for many years to come,” said the USGA’s John Bodenhamer in a statement.

Branden Grace will replace Scheffler in the field.
