Triggs’ Tramonti Finishes T23 at Final NEPGA Stroke Play Tournament
Triggs Memorial’s Robert Tramonti finished in a tie for 23rd at the final New England PGA Stroke Play Series event on Tuesday at Haverhill Country Club in Massachusetts.
Tramonti shot 39 on the front and 33 on the back for a total score of 72 to tie him for 23rd with three other guys.
Steven Hausmann, from Amherst Country Club won the tournament with a score of five-under par.
“I hit a lot of greens and the greens here are so good, the ball was rolling great. You could really trust the roll and just get it going and focus on getting it online and the ball was going to roll out real nice,” said Hausmann after the round.
Tuesday’s tournament was the final Stroke Play Series event of the regular season. Points from all five Stroke Play Series events and the Chapter Championships will be used to determine the top 54 players in the Avidia Cup Standings, who will advance to the Avidia Bank Cup Finals.
Due to COVID-19, the Avidia Cup Finals will be moved from the originally scheduled site, Portland CC.
The NEPGA is actively working to secure a site and date for the Finals.
