Phil Mickelson is back in the win column.
Mickelson, 22-under, won his champions tour debut on Wednesday at Ozarks National by four shots over Tim Petrovic.
“I really had a great time. It’s fun for me to compete. I got to shoot scores and compete, and the competition here is really strong and it was fun for me to get off to a good start and play well,” said Mickelson.
Mickelson’s score, 191, is tied for the lowest in Champions Tour history at a 54-hole event.
The score was previously shot by Rocco Mediate in 2013.
Mickelson now plans to take next week off before playing the PGA Tour’s season-opening Safeway Open in California.
That will be his final tournament before the U.S. Open.
