Paik Set to Begin Match Play at MA Women’s Amateur
Rhode Island’s Allison Paik is set to begin match play in the Massachusetts Women’s Amateur on Thursday morning.
After shooting an 80 in the second round of stroke play qualifying, Paik enters the tournament as an eight seed.
The Columbia commit faces Catie Schernecker in the first round on Thursday at 7:40 a.m.
2nd Round Struggles
Paik entered the second round of stroke play in fourth place overall, however, the second round was not kind to the former Rhode Island State Champion.
She opened with two bogeys in the first six holes, before pouring in a birdie at eight.
She would give it right back with a bogey on nine, before also making bogeys at 10 and 11.
Paik would close the round with bogeys at 13,14 and 16 to shoot an 80 and drop to eighth.
