Lukowicz, Tannock Lead Button Hole Four Ball After Rd. 1

Defending Rhode Island Amateur champion Jamie Lukowicz and partner Tyler Tannock lit up Valley Country Club in round one of the Button Hole Four Balll on Tuesday afternoon.

The pair fired a nine-under par 63 to lead the two day tournament by two strokes.

Alex Parente and Joe Tucker are in second place at seven under, while Larry Lafauci and Tom McCormick are in third at five under.

The tournament is being put on by the Rhode Island Golf Association to raise funds to repair the offices at Button Hole, which caught fire back in March.

Lukowicz & Tannock’s Round

According to the live scoring, Tannock only played the first four holes, leaving Lukowicz on his own the rest of the way.

However, that would prove to not be an issue.

After birding the first two holes, Lukowicz eagled the fifth hole, his first hole alone, to drop to four under par for the tournament.

He then birdied six and nine to get to six under on the front nine.

Lukowicz saved par on ten and then birdied 11 and 12 to get to eight under on the day, however he would give one back on 13 with a bogey.

He closed the round with birdies on 16 and 18 to get to nine under on the day, good enough for a two shot lead.
