Wheeler School alum and Columbia commit Allison Paik is tied for 20th out of 100 competitors after round two of the National High School Golf Invitational at Pinehurst No. 8 in North Carolina.
Paik played Pinhurst No. 6 during Monday’s first round.
On Tuesday, Paik fired a six-over par 78 to fall into a tie for 20th.
The third and final round is set for Wednesday.
Paik’s 2nd Round
Following her five-over par first round on Pinehurst No. 6, Paik opened the second round with five straight pars on Pinehurst No. 8.
Things took a turn when she bogeyed the sixth hole and then would bogey eight, with pars coming in between to make the turn at two over for the day.
On the back nine, Paik bogeyed 10, parred 11 and then made bogeys at 12 and 13 to get to five over on the day.
Her loan birdie of the day came on the par five 15th hole.
She would close with bogeys on 16 and 17, before parring 18 to shoot 78 and fall to 11-over par for the tournament.
