Pare, Ray Finish T14 at NEPGA Stroke Play Series Event

Ledgemont Country Club’s Troy Pare and Point Judith’s Brendon Ray finished in a tie for 14 at the NEPGA’s Stroke Play Series event on Monday at Cohasset Golf Club in Massachusetts.

Chequessett’s John Hickson  and Nashawtuc’s Liam Friedman tied for first in the tournament. 

The fifth and final Stroke Play Series event of 2020 is Sept. 8 at Haverhill CC. The top 54 players after the five-event series will be invited to the Avidia Bank Cup Finals, Sept. 28 at Portland CC.

Pare and Ray’s Rounds 

Both Pare and Ray shot a pair of 37s on the from nine, followed by 37s on the back nine to shoot a four-over par 74 for the tournament. 

They finished one shot ahead of a large group who were tied for 18th at five over par. 

Other RI Finishes 

Only three other RI pros played in the tournament on Monday. 

Shelter Harbor’s Daniel Guidarelli finished in a tie for 22nd, while Triggs’ Robert Tramonti also finished in a tie for 22nd.

The Aquidneck Club’s Ed Kirby finished in a tie for 32.
