Daly, Singh Among 12 Players Withdrawing from PGA Championship
More players are dropping out of the PGA Championship set to take place at Harding Park in San Francisco on Thursday.
The latests round of withdrawals includes former champions John Daly and Vijay Singh.
In total, five major champions have withdrawn from the tournament including Daly, Singh, Padraig Harrington, Y.E. Yang and Francesco Molinari.
Singh and Daly
Daly won the PGA in 1991 at Crooked Stick after starting the week as the ninth alternate.
He dropped out due to health concerns.
Singh is a two-time PGA champion, winning at Sahalee in 1998 and Whistling Straits in 2004.
He dropped out due to injury.
Strong Field for PGA
Despite some recent withdrawals from the tournament, the PGA Championship is still on pace to be one of the strongest fields of the year.
According to ESPN, the Tournament will include at least 93 of the top 100 players.
The PGA Championship is the first major of this season.
