Branden Grace Tests Positive for Coronavirus
PGA Tour player player Branden Grace has tested positive for the coronavirus and withdrawn from the Barracuda Championship prior to the third round.
Grace becomes the eight PGA Tour player to test positive.
“I felt great all week. Last night, I was tired and thought it had to do with the altitude. This morning, I notified the PGA Tour about my symptoms before going to the golf course. I wanted to get tested out of respect for my peers and everyone involved with the tournament. While it is unfortunate given my portion on the leaderboard, the most important thing is our health,” said Grace in a statement.
Grace will now quarantine for a period of 10 days, meaning that he will miss the PGA Championship.
Grace’s caddie will also quarantine, but tested negative for the virus.
