Prior to teaching at Warren, Holcomb spent 29 years at the Seeking Driving Range teaching the game to hundreds of students, including GolfNewsRI co-founder Joe Calabro.

“Rick taught me the game all those years ago at Seekonk Driving Range when I was just a kid and it is where my love for the playing the game began,” said Calabro.

Prior to giving lessons on a full time basis, Holcomb set the east coast speed golf record in 1973, playing Triggs in 39 minutes and 17 seconds.
