Michael Thompson held off Adam Long and Emiliano Grillo to win the 3M Open on Sunday afternoon at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota.
Thompson finished with a birdie on 18 to shoot 19-under par for the tournament.
It is Thompson’s second career PGA Tour win in 167 starts.
Meanwhile, Massachusetts native Richy Werenski shot even par in the final round and finished in a tie for third.
Thompson opened his final round in a tie for the lead with Werenski, before bogeying the third hole.
He would then rebound with birdies on the fifth and sixth holes and go on to close out the front nine at one under par for the day.
In the home stretch, Thompson birdied the tenth hole.
He would make pars all the way to the 16th hole helping him gain the lead.
On the par four 16th, Thompson put his second shot in a green side bunker.
However, in what was arguably the shot of the tournament, Thompson stuck it close out of the bunker and made birdie.
He closed the round by parring 17 and birding 18.
