Papa Cruises to 2nd Straight Girls Jr. Amateur Championship
Gianna Papa is a champion again.
Papa cruised past Ava Santamaria in the Girls Junior Amateur Championship on Thursday to win her second straight title.
Earlier in the day, Santamaria, an Alpine member, beat Papa’s sister Vinny to get to the final.

After being one up through four holes. Papa won five straight holes to take a six up lead after the opening nine.
The pair halved the tenth hole before Papa won 11 and 12 to close out the match.
On the final hole, the par 3 12th, Papa put her tee shot to just a couple of feet for the easy tap in birdie.
She won the match 8&6.
